Caregiver Travel Reimbursement Pilot Program for Military Families

Updated: Mar 18

Slide Deck Cover Page

You aren't alone if you heard the news about the new DoD Pilot Program that allows military families to be reimbursed for caregiver travel and want to know more. There has been confusion about this program since it was first announced in the FY23 NDAA. As of October 1, 2024, we are getting some clarity.

Recently, our volunteers held a live Ask Me Anything to discuss what we know, what we are learning, and where families can go for help.

The slide deck is available to view here.

The video recording with the slide deck is available to view here.

Below are relevant links for the FY23 NDAA and updated memos. As always, if you find yourself stuck while trying to access programming, please submit an intake for case management on our webpage.

We are collecting questions and concerns to submit for clarification and will hold another Ask Me Anything session on this topic as we collect additional information.
